Controller

The Keller Group is hiring a Controller for our growing client based in Phoenix. The Controller is responsible for a wide range of responsibilities including overseeing the accounting operations, financial and tax reporting obligations, audit and compliance. The idea candidate must be technically proficient, think strategically and have great interpersonal skills. They should be able to work collaboratively while also feeling comfortable in an entrepreneurial environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day accounting operations including oversight of daily cash management, audit and tax.
• Oversee technical accounting processes and policies including SOX compliance.
• Coordinate and manage the external audit process, ensuring compliance with financial and tax regulations.
• Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with GAAP and company policies.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and guidance on business decisions.

Qualifications:

• 8 years of progressive experience in accounting, audit or finance
• Previous experience in public accounting or relevant industry needed
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or finance
• CPA required
• Public company experience preferred
• Deep knowledge of GAAP and SOX needed
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills
