About the Role
The Category Finance Analyst role owns the financial reporting through the Monthly Performance Review & Forecasting processes. The role is responsible for developing the annual operating plan and working with cross functional stakeholders (with Revenue Management, Category Development, Sales, Marketing and Operations) to deliver the year and plan the future.
Key Responsibilities:
Delivering the Year
- Preparing and analysing actual performance using variance analysis to arrive at root causes.
- Work cross-functionally with Sales, Trade Finance and Revenue management to vet financials of customer-facing opportunities and assess trade spend vs plan and trends overtime.
- Risks and Opportunity scoping for gap closure opportunities including driving the critical path with key stakeholders.
Corporate Reporting
- Central finance tasks to complete actual and forecast report preparation to the management.
- Own the Monthly Performance Reporting, ensuring that business drivers of performance vs plan and prior year are clearly understood and communicated to key stakeholders using Price Volume Mix analysis.
Planning the Future
- Preparing inputs for and analysing financial forecast, Strategic Plan and Annual Operating Plan including zero based budgeting
- Work cross-functionally with Marketing in development of innovation P&Ls
- Financial modelling. scenario planning & providing key insights and recommendations to the BU.
About You
- 2 year's work experience that compliments financial training/ Financial business partnering. Experience in FCMG is an added advantage.
- Bachelor's Degree - Accounting/Finance or related discipline is desirable.
- Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Attention to details and ability to engage with key stakeholders to provide insights and drive results for the BU.
