Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Assists the Aquatics Manager with the oversight and management of staff to include interviewing and hiring qualified team members.

Trains team members on daily and routine responsibilities.
-
Communicates with team members on a consistent basis through email, phone, and meetings in a courteous and effective manner.
-
Creates weekly schedule for team members and ensures shifts are covered efficiently to ensure proper safety for the club members.

Coordinates and runs monthly in service training for team members.
-
Maintains pool pumps, heaters, motors, flowrate, filter pressure and chlorination equipment daily.

Tests water chemistry multiple times a day adjusting chemicals according to test results to maintain proper balances.

Handles small repairs or report any required repairs and safety issues to the Aquatics Manager to coordinate with

Engineering and outside vendors.

Completes monthly safety and facility checklists to organize and expedite maintenance and repairs.

Orders and maintains all supplies as needed.

Assists with custodial duties for pool grounds including trash, debris, bathrooms, and other general cleaning.

Follows safety guidelines described in the operating procedures and generally practices behavior that ensures the safety of the employee, co-workers, members, and guests.

Reports member complaints directly to the Aquatics Manager.

Complies with departmental grooming and dress code standards.

Works variety of shifts, as needed to include nights, weekends and or holidays.

Complies with department and Club policies and procedures.

Works flexible hours including weekends and holidays according to the business needs.

Greets members and guests with a smile and takes care of their needs.

Performs all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
-
Certified American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification (required).

Certified American Red Cross LGI (Lifeguard Instructor) (preferred).

Certified Pool Operator (CPO) license or ability and commitment to obtain within 6 months of hire.

Previous experience working at an aquatics facility of 1-3 years.

Valid driver’s license and ability to be insured.

Lifts up to 50 pounds.

Must be capable of lifting a human body from the pool when rescue is necessary; while this duty may not occur frequently, it is essential.

Stoops, crawls, reaches, and kneels to complete work assignments.

Works outdoors 90% of the workday sometimes during inclement weather.
