Job Description
Guide Destination Homes’ buyers through the color selection process, using courtesy, professionalism, and design knowledge to provide an excellent design center customer experience, and ensure all necessary paperwork is accurately completed and distributed to the appropriate parties within the established timeframes.
Primary Duties:
- Contact presale buyers as they are contracted to schedule and coordinate all needed design appointments.
- Guide the home buyers through the interior design process making them feel comfortable, helping them through creating their personalized home, offering them all the options needed to make their home unique to them.
- Creating design sales documentation within our system, color selection sheets, renderings and look books are personalized for every homeowner and inventory home.
- Ensure all paperwork is accurate, thorough and on time.
- Ensuring all community design rules are followed and updated streetscapes are created and maintained.
- Make sure our customer service is measuring with a next level design experience, hitting all customer service goals and objectives.
- Design the inventory homes for Destination homes with on trend colors, selections within budget.
- Write thank-you notes to design center visitors.
- Participate in continuing education opportunities to increase skill and knowledge levels.
- Perform all job responsibilities in accordance with Destination Homes’ high customer satisfaction standards.
- Participate in the weekly design center staff meetings, one on ones and any team building or all staff meetings or trainings.
- Openly communicate with the Sales, Estimating, Purchasing, Drafting and Production Coordinators to ensure a smooth buyer process and over communicate any questions or buyers needs through the design experience.
- Support and promote Destination Homes’ mission statement, vision, and core values.
- Assist with all other tasks and projects as directed by management.
Experience & Skills
- Interior Design Degree preferred
- 3 years of successful Interior Design experience with new homes sales preferred
- 3 years reading floorplans preferred
- AutoCAD experience, preferred
Physical Requirements
- This position requires frequent walking, standing, and climbing stairs in/around construction site, apartment homes, models, and properties
- Must have the ability to read and comprehend large quantities of information, operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, move, and carry up to 25 lbs. independently.
- Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, and move about office setting
