We are looking for an experienced paralegal to be a part of our legal team. As a member of our team, you will interact and build relationships with our clients while supporting our attorneys by completing legal research; drafting documents (including pleadings and orders,) and preparing for hearings and trials. This position requires a combination of empathy, experience, and skill. This position involves assisting the firm in providing a high standard of service to our clients.
If you are applying for this job, you will have, do, or be the following:
- Have experience in Texas Criminal Law.
- Know how to properly draft motions, orders, discovery, and all the other documents involved in practicing Criminal Law.
- Be experienced with ProDoc/Westlaw Doc & Form Builder.
- Be able to choose the correct documents/forms for preparation and to draft the correct documents.
- Be able to manage and meet multiple deadlines of varying priority levels
- Be organized, creative, and efficient.
- Have outstanding attention to detail and accuracy, including spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
- Have experience answering phones and keeping accurate records and messages.
- Have a strong work ethic, be a self-starter, and operate with strong initiative to meet billable requirements.
- Be able to switch tasks seamlessly as you greet incoming potential clients, prepare their paperwork, and coordinate with our lawyers for their incoming appointments.
- Be able to work under pressure and comply with pending deadlines.
Be available to work Monday-Friday 8 am - 5 pm

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
