The controller position is accountable for the accounting operations of the company.
SUPERVISOR: Chief Financial Officer
FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work closely with the Outsourced Team.
Handle the full cycle of Accounts Payable from Purchase to packing list/shipment receipt and payment of vendor invoices.
Handle inquiries from staff and vendors regarding billing and payment issues.
Maintain contracts file for independent contractors.
Maintain accurate and complete filing systems for paid vendor files and other accounting files.
Review Health Insurance and Dental Insurance bills for accuracy of staff billed.
Meet deadlines for monthly and quarterly closings and post accruals.
Document internal systems to streamline the operations of the accounting office.
Maintain petty cash disbursements and replenishment.
Perform filing and organizing functions.
Maintain Fixed Asset ledger.
Responsible for the preparation of bills and invoices for the various fee-for-service programs.
Collect unit billing data for CBHI/Medicaid billing for Walden Community Services program and submit insurance claims timely and accurately.
Reconcile invoices against contracts to ensure timely and accurate payments.
Reconcile payments against billed amounts to ensure claims are processed properly.
Responsible for collections of delinquent accounts as Maintain contracts file for towns and other business partners.
Maintain accurate and complete filing systems for customer files and other accounting files.
Meet deadlines for monthly and quarterly closings and post accruals.
Create financial reports and other reports.
Perform other projects within the accounting office as required.
Support the Nutrition program billing and compliance as needed.
Support monthly closing process and reconciliations of balance sheet items.
Support audit process and coordinate backup for auditors.
