The Learning Cottage is dedicated to serving children, families and educators, locally, while fostering “the whole child” by providing a quality Early Childhood Education that promotes healthy habits, community outreach, sustainability for our future and educational excellence.

Teachers at The Learning Cottage share the vision of helping to support a program that is academically, developmentally and socially balanced. They are individuals who have chosen early childhood education as a career and are extremely excited to learn and grow in this decision. Aides are a vital and valued part of our team and receive ongoing training to ensure that they have the knowledge and confidence to support educators, students & families in their educational journey. Equally, Aides are given guidance, love and skills that ensure they feel valued; to one day have a classroom of their own on our campus!

Educators are responsible for the following:

• Help maintain a safe environment
• prepare snacks for students
• Maintain a clean and organized environment
• Assist teachers in activities
• Support children through feelings
• Maintaining a "role model" attitude on campus

As health & safety of our customers and staff are valued alike, we take all precautions as the Sarasota County School Board; as well as a nightly sanitation team!
