Custodian

The Lee Group’s recruitment and staffing team is currently hiring for a Custodian in Williamsburg, Virginia The pay rate for the Custodian is $16.

54 Hours Monday - Friday 7 : 00am - 3 : 00 pm Key duties and responsibilities of the Custodian include, but are not limited to, the following :

• Vacuums, sweeps, dusts and mops floors, strips and waxes floors, and polishes floors with buffer.
• Polishes furniture and equipment. Washes windows, blinds, walls. Shampoos carpets
• Cleans, sanitizes and supplies rest rooms. Cleans clogged drains and toilets or reports for repairs.
• Empties and cleans trashcans.
• Performs heavy cleaning tasks and tasks unauthorized for juveniles in the living areas.
• Changes light bulbs, makes minor repairs.
• Reports all needs for repairs immediately to the Maintenance or other administrative staff.
• Assist with supplies and placing supplies in designated storage areas.
• Insures all tools and equipment are accounted for at all times.
• Assist with washing and cleaning vehicles.
• Assist with delivering and picking up Commission vehicles for maintenance.
• Follows security procedure for the facility.
• Other duties as assigned Requirements of the Custodian include, but are not limited to, the following :
• Knowledge of institutional cleaning procedures, practices, supplies, and equipment.
• Some knowledge of occupational safety hazards and OSHA regulations.
• Ability to use equipment and supplies safely, effectively, and economically.
• Ability to perform general repair jobs.
• Ability to read, understand and follow written instructions as well as follows oral instructions.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
• Ability to use computer equipment with reasonable speed and accuracy.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships All applicants must submit to a pre-employment drug screen as well as a criminal background check prior to job placement.
