What are the responsibilities and job description for the LEAP - Project Engineer position at The Lemoine Company?
- Assists in the preparation and submission of RFIs, Submittals, etc. to Architect/Owner, including the distribution of responses to the affected Trade Partners.
- Conducts inspections before, during, and after installation of work put in place using predetermined
checklists and documents with photographs, as required by the site-specific QA/QC plan. - Assists in the preparation of bid proposal, including the cost breakdown, clarifications, scope, and
exclusions. - Performs Subcontract quantity take-off on assigned Trade scopes and leads the development of
tab sheets. - Assists the Superintendent in the daily scheduling and supervision of on-site activities.
- Actively participates and ensures the completion and quality of trade partner JSAs and uses JSAs to
plan tasks
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited University in Construction Management, Engineering, or related curriculum or equivalent work experience.
- Internship in the commercial construction industry preferred.
- Knowledge of the construction industry and general management and business skills.
- Knowledge of project planning, scheduling, and estimating for construction trades (all disciplines).
- Requires capabilities in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent math, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Physically able to conduct inspections and carry equipment used for inspections.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
