What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host position at The LINE Hotel?
Duties:
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant
- Escort guests to their tables and provide them with menus
- Assist in seating guests according to seating plans and restaurant policies
- Answer phone calls and take reservations or provide information about the restaurant
- Manage the waitlist and estimate wait times for guests
- Maintain a clean and organized host/host station
- Communicate with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth operations
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in guest services or hospitality preferred
- Knowledge of POS systems and restaurant operations
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong phone etiquette and ability to handle customer inquiries professionally
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong guest relations skills and ability to provide exceptional customer service
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team and assist in various tasks as needed
$20.00 /hour plus tips!
