What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN Clinical Educator position at The McGuire Group?
The McGuire Group is seeking a Registered Nurse to become a Clinical Educator looking for part time work to become a member of our elite team! We are looking for a Registered Nurse who can assist with providing direct oversight and support to a number of different clinical programs occurring throughout our organization.
Various Project Include:
· Instructor for our Apprenticeship Program with SEIU 1199 & Absolut Care.
· Intermediate assistance with CNA Training Programs / Adult Education Programs
· Coordinate Nurse Mentorship Programs for new graduate nurse. (RNs / LPNs)
Responsibilities & Requirements:
- New York State Registered Professional Nurse licensure
- Experience in long-term care facility required
- Able to interpret patient information and make critical decisions about necessary actions regarding infection control and nurse education
- Ability to work well with and show respect toward other health care personnel (i.e., CNAs, LPNs, physicians, etc.), residents and their family members
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to follow written and verbal instructions
- Able to perform tasks while upholding high standards of quality, cleanliness and kindness
- Physical endurance for frequent activity; ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds
- Prepares clinical teacher assistants and preceptors for their teaching activities and approaches specific to the level of the learner and courses outcomes
- Assists the student in integration of theory and practice, specific to the courses learning activities and level of the learner.
- Evaluates the students development of clinical reasoning skills..
- Directly observes and guides students learning activities with clients
