Title: Crew Member
Reports to: General Manager
Position Summary: Your main responsibility as a Crew Member is to deliver an “I Love It Here” experience to every guest.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Guest Engagement
- Welcoming every guest with a smile.
- Delivering fast, friendly and accurate service to all guests.
- Answering guest questions related to the menu and suggestive selling to help the guest order.
- Having knowledge of the various guest programs and technology such as Thanx, Kiosk and Online Ordering.
Product Excellence
- Having full knowledge of the menu and ingredients profile for all Melt menu items.
- Ensuring order accuracy upon guest delivery.
- Monitoring ticket times to ensure food is delivered within THE MELT’s speed of service guidelines.
- Following recipes accurately during food prep as well as sandwich builds, salads, soups, sides, and shakes.
Restaurant Cleanliness and Food Safety
- Following all Melt policies related to Uniform, Grooming and Personal Hygiene
- Following all food safety and sanitation requirements and practices.
- Ensuring Guest Areas such as dining room, restrooms are clean and well stocked at all times.
- Ensuring your station (FOH or BOH) is clean and well stocked at all times.
Personal Conduct
- Following all Crew policies and procedures related to successful employment at THE MELT.
- Promoting teamwork to achieve restaurant goals.
- Attending and being punctual to all scheduled shifts.
- Communicating with fellow crew members in a courteous and respectful manner.
- Following all safety policies and procedures to eliminate risk of injury/illness for crew and guests.
Qualifications
Requirements/Qualifications
- MUST BE HAPPY & at least 16 years old to apply.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude and the ability to learn quickly.
- Must be available to work flexible hours including peak sales times, opening shifts, closing shifts, and weekends.
- Prior experience not required but helps if you’ve worked in a restaurant, deli, café, fast food, coffee, retail or customer service.
- Must be able to work under pressure and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to read and communicate in English.
- Must be able to lift between 25-50 lbs.
