Job Overview:
This is the intermediate level in the job family. In this role you will use your operational and analytical skills to assist with operating and maintaining the demonstration facility and equipment; assist in development of operating and maintenance plans; assist with conducting water quality sampling, analyses, and data reporting to support applied research studies; and assist with emergency response, including on-call support during off-work hours.
You will participate on a project team at the Pure Water Southern California Demonstration Plant located at the Joint Water Pollution Control Plant in Carson, California. You will support maintenance and treatment process troubleshooting for continuous testing and operation of the demonstration and pilot plants.
Your ability to communicate (verbally and in writing) clearly, work effectively in a team with others, and use of supporting applications (calculations, spreadsheets, etc.) will be important in this role.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience: High school diploma or certificate of high school equivalency and four years of relevant experience; or two years experience as a MWD Water Quality Technician I.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS
License(s): Valid California Class C Driver’s License or equivalent (required at time of application) that allows you to drive during your employment.
