Position Description:
Performs duties to maintain parts inventory for the maintenance department by ordering, receiving and storing items in a timely manner.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Purchases parts and materials for the maintenance department within pre-determined specs and guidelines
- Researches suppliers, parts and equipment for purchase
- Prints bar coded labels, tags for new inventory and store items in the established inventory location
- Inspects merchandise acceptability by checking for damages and order against pack list
- Completes defined receiving procedures for items ordered by PO
- Creates part numbers and inventory locations for new items
- Returns unused parts in their proper location
- Maintains organization and cleanliness of the area, shelving and cabinets.
- Manages outgoing shipments from maintenance department
- Schedules vendors for outside services when needed. Makes part and supply pick-ups when needed
- Assists mechanics with various tasks as needed
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Assists production with purchases at non-stock operational items

Requirements:
High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Detail oriented, strong organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, ERP or CMMS Systems
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, as needed
- Valid state driver’s license
- Communicate fluently in English
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds daily, over 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to withstand sitting approx 50% of the time
