Department Summary:
- FSO will manage and administer all aspects of industrial security programs in compliance with the DoD Manuals, NISPOM, ICDs and other applicable government security directives. Accountable for all day-to-day onsite security operations at the MITRE Ft. Meade site. Responsible for performing multiple disciplines within security to include (but not limited to): personnel security, physical security of Special Program Facility including alarm responses, document control, visitor control, providing access briefings, completing/submitting access paperwork, indocs/debriefs, conducting annual security audits to ensure compliance, and government directive implementation. Routinely interact with both internal and external customers in support of program-related activities. Work closely with the Project Leader and Regional Security Manager to support all aspects of corporate security and ensure proper implementation of National Policy.
Required Qualifications (Required)
Ability to develop and execute security policy, plans, and procedures
Totally self-managed. Fully responsible for deliverables to customers
Ability to manage time, make sound decisions, take independent action, analyze problems, and provide focused solutions.
Experience with secure communications. To include COMSEC Custodian training and working knowledge of COMSEC.
Track record of security excellence in a fast-paced multi-compartmented work environment with the ability to forecast unforeseen issues and prepare corrective action plans
Maintains situational awareness of all security functions and issues
Understanding of advanced security principles and government special security regulations
Experience assisting or supporting security operations within a contractor or government agency
Proven track record of completing tasks in a timely manner and in accordance with company and government regulations and guidelines
Computer proficient on MS Office products and working knowledge of DISS, e-QIP, Scattered Castles, and JADE.
Professional demeanor, good people skills, ability to communicate effectively both written and orally, and be able to perform in a multi-tasked, dynamic environment.
TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph
Preferred Qualification:
Thorough knowledge and demonstrated application of the U.S. Government security standards of 32 Code of Federal Regulation Part 117, NISPOM, Intelligence Community Directives, Security Executive Agent Directives, and the DoD SAP Security Manual 5205.07 (Volumes 1- 4)
Possess a high level of understanding and previous application of the ICD-705 Technical Specifications, to include, but not limited to; intrusion detection systems, access control devices, TEMPEST requirements, drawings/specifications, etc.
Understanding of advanced security principles and government special security regulations
