IT Project Manager

We are seeking a IT Project Manager on a contract basis to help support our customer’s business needs. The main function of a non-IT project manager is to plan, direct, or coordinate activities in such fields as engineering, research and development, financial systems and product roll-out, etc, or any other non-IT-based project.

What You’ll Do:
Coordinate cross-functional projects to accomplish goals and direct integration of technical activities in a matrix organization.
Develop and manage end-to-end project plans and ensure on-time delivery
Interface with engineering and business owners for project requirements and scope
Identify, assign, direct work to teams, and oversee project progress and deliverables
Provide day-to-day coordination and quality assurance for projects and tasks
Drive internal and external process improvements across multiple teams and functions
Perform risk management and change management on projects
Work with cross-functional teams to drive programs/security and privacy compliance.

Must-Haves:
2 years of software development, systems engineering, hardware engineering, or technical product/project management experience.
Experience working with technical management teams to develop systems, solutions, and products.
Organizational, coordination, and multitasking experience.
Experience establishing work relationships across multi-disciplinary teams and multiple partners in different time zones.
PMI or PMP certification preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication, analytical problem solving, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills.
Strong ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
Leadership skills are necessary to provide support and facilitate project prioritization discussions.
Strong knowledge of operational processes, cost and resource allocation, and other efficiency and productivity techniques for maximizing team execution.
Strong knowledge of computer software, such as G Suite, MS Office 365 productivity apps, etc.
Strong verbal and written communication

Work independently, experience working across multiple teams.
Enterprise software or product development experience, and security compliance knowledge.

Education:
B.S. in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience

Hours & Location:
M-F, 40 hours/week. The expectation is to be on-site at our customer’s Menlo Park, CA office.

Boosters are required to be received by March 28, 2022, or six months after receiving the final dose of the original vaccination series, whichever is later.
