SECRETARY
Full-time position with excellent benefits is available in our Behavioral Healthcare Clinic in Utica, NY.
Join a committed team of professionals providing critical services to our communities. The Neighborhood Center, Inc. is a non-profit human services agency with a robust 100 year history of providing innovative services to a wide variety of communities.
Basic work schedule is Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours per week. Some flexibility required as needed.
The basic work schedule is: 8:30am-4:30pm with one evening required per week 12Noon-8:00pm.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Manage the front reception desk
• Answer multiple phone lines (initiate triage calls, take messages, transfer calls, etc.
• Check clients in and out for their appointments with Doctors, Nurse Practitioners, and Therapists
• Schedule appointments in our computer software program
• Complete reminder calls to clients regarding appointment times
• Filing
• Manage Doctor, Nurses and Therapists schedules
• Monitor waiting area
• Must have ability to multi-task while answering phones
• Computer skills competency are necessary to manage the use of multiple computer screens in software program
• High School Diploma/Equivalency and four (4) years secretarial experience
OR
• Associate’s Degree in Secretarial Science or closely related field and three (3) years of secretarial experience. EOE
