The Development Department in the Upper West side of Manhattan is seeking a full time Director, Individual Giving to join our team.
Job Summary:
The Director, Individual Giving manages a portfolio of major donors, while also leading the individual giving team and contributing to the strategic and creative energy of the Development Department. As a frontline fundraiser, this role is poised to constantly strive to increase their efforts at cultivating, securing, and stewarding both existing and new individual donors to create a robust donor pipeline for The New Jewish Home.

General Duties and Responsibilities:
· Develops and implements strategy to grow revenue for program development, capital and annual.
· Oversee the Major gifts, mid-level and first level, and planned giving donor portfolios
· Manage a portfolio of prospects: major and principal donors
· Oversee prospect research and prospect development function
· Establishes short- and long-range goals for funding sources. Forecasts annual revenue from individual donors.
· Develops annual marketing and service plans in support of organizational strategy and objectives.
· Oversees gala and other fundraising events.
· Establishes and manages policies, systems and procedures for managing workflow and record keeping for individual giving.
Qualifications: Professional, educational
- 5 – 7 years’ major and individual giving experience with track record reaching fundraising targets.
- Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred.
- Demonstrated, strong proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Special events experience a plus.
Reporting Responsibilities:
This position will report directly to the Chief Development Officer.

· Ability to put processes / structures in place to streamline departmental work flow and further improve client experience.
