JOB TITLE: Spa Attendant/Receptionist
DEPARTMENT: Spa & Fitness
REPORTS TO: Spa Director
POSITION SUMMARY: The Ocean Club in Key Biscayne, Florida has an immediate opening for a qualified and energetic individual to represent and attend to the daily functions of a Health & Fitness front desk position. The candidate for this position must be able to work evenings and weekends. They must exhibit good will and ensure The Ocean Club members have a 5-star experience in the Salon, Fitness and Spa facilities.
SCHEDULE: Weekdays, Evenings, Weekends and Holidays
CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Know and enforce all the rules and regulations provided by the Board of Directors
- Greet all members and guests with a smile
- Maintain appearance of front desk area, locker rooms, aerobics room and fitness room by picking up dirty towels, empty bottles, etc.
- Replenish roll towels in each cardio machine and spinning bike daily
- Operate telephone, make appointments and call therapists for confirmations
- Provide schedule and other club information to members and their guests
- Perform general office work such as filing, PC and point of sale system
- Report unauthorized attendees and/or activities in the facilities to Security
- Operate televisions and sound system
- Possess knowledge of exercise equipment
- Recheck the locker rooms every hour for cleanliness and summon the housekeepers when needed
Restock supplies and merchandise regularly
- Supervise and attend to the exercise area, its members and their guests
- Clean the weight machinery twice during each shift
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in hospitality, fitness or spa environments is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be available to work evenings and weekends
- Excellent organizational skills
- Exhibit good attention to detail
- English and Spanish (Preferred)
- Ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize.
- Must have a strong work ethic and be dependable.
