Job Title: Patient Care Associate Department: Ambulatory Services | Dublin Infusion Clinic Position Summary The Patient Care Associate (PCA) is responsible for providing a variety of direct and indirect patient care activities as supervised and directed by the Patient Care Coordinator (RN-PCC). Care is provided in collaboration with the patient, family, and other members of the patient focused care team. Overall responsibilities are to assist the team in meeting patient care needs. Organizational Expectations Practices within the Hospital’s policies and procedures, and Division’s of Nursing Standards of Practice, including attendance and dress code policies. Maintains infection control standards, implements appropriate patient safety protocols as necessary. Adheres to the Intensive caring Value statements and the Hospital Core Competencies as demonstrated through positive patient/guest relations, positive and effective interactions with staff, formulating and meeting developmental goals. Minimum Qualifications High School graduate or GED certificate required. One year of experience as a hospital/nursing home/ECF/private duty aide, EMT certification, completion of a military corpsman training program with direct patient care, successful completion of a Nursing Assistant training course, nursing assistant state certification is preferred.
