What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inspired Living Coordinator position at The Osborn?
As the Sterling Park (Independent Living) Inspired Living Coordinator, you will be entrusted with crafting and executing a vibrant array of social, educational, fitness, and leisure programs tailored to the diverse interests and needs of our independent residents. Your role extends beyond event planning to serving as a resource and advocate for residents, fostering a sense of community and wellness. Upholding professionalism and a positive demeanor are paramount as you represent both the Sterling Park Department and our organization.
Essential Job Functions:
- Collaborate with residents and committees to curate an innovative calendar of events that cater to various interests.
- Develop and disseminate monthly calendars, newsletters, and promotional materials.
- Liaise with community resources to enhance program offerings.
- Manage the fitness program, including coordinating with fitness room staff, facilitating programs, and ensuring residents' medical clearance.
- Coordinate with other departments to address resident needs and concerns.
- Conduct new resident orientations and provide ongoing information and tours.
- Oversee the art program, including arranging classes and studio sessions.
- Provide administrative support through correspondence, reporting, and maintaining display areas.
- Serve as a liaison for resident committees, assisting with agenda preparation and event organization.
- Act as a direct contact for residents, addressing service concerns, and ensuring satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records, including resident lists and program budgets.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience, preferably with older adults.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to make informed decisions and resolve conflicts diplomatically.
- Understanding of age-related issues and commitment to respecting the elderly.
- Previous experience in program planning or independent living environments is advantageous.

Pay: $33.55 - $38.78 per hour
