What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Preschool Teacher position at The Panther's Den Learning Center of Petal?
Develop, modify and adapt developmentally appropriate schedules, materials and activities to address the strengths and needs of all children; plan, coordinate, and execute a program of instruction for a group of infants and toddlers; provide opportunities for parents to be involved in their infant/toddler’s education; conduct parent teacher conferences; develop and utilize lesson plans, reflect home and culture influences and promote social, emotional, physical and cognitive development of children; complete assessments on assigned infants/toddlers; maintain all classroom records/written reports to ensure maximum benefits to children and families; and other duties needed for the successful operation of the program. Must be able to lift at least 40 – 50 lbs. as needed. Must be able to bend kneel, crouch, stand on feet and sit on floor with children for extended periods of time without complications.
Qualifications:
Associate’s Degree in Child Development or Early Childhood Education or CDA

Experience:
Must have at least one (2) years’ experience working in the classroom with preschool children at a licensed childcare facility.
