THE ROLE - PLUMBING SERVICE COORDINATOR

The Par Group is looking for a Plumbing Service Coordinator who will be responsible for overseeing each plumbing job from beginning to end. In this role, you will assign the right plumbers to each job while maintaining internal records that can be accessed easily. You will also help the plumbers in the field resolve any issues that may arise.

OVERVIEW - PLUMBING SERVICE COORDINATOR

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES - PLUMBING SERVICE COORDINATOR

• Administer and maintain record of all files and folders, keeping them readily available for Manager
• Answer and direct incoming calls from general contractors, plumbers, and service customers
• Schedule jobs with general contractors, building management, and service customers
• Connect with general contractors to create new job summaries and retain necessary information
• Close-out all completed jobs and create close-out package; ensure all packages include all necessary documentation (i.e., warranties, manuals, Department of Health (DOH) letters etc.); accurately file and label all close-outs - gather information from necessary parties (i.e., general contractors, plumber, draftsman etc.)
• Assist Supers on night service and overtime jobs
• Coordinate material ordering for all jobs; provide necessary logistical updates to customer
• Release material and tools
• Record all information and maintain necessary documentation for estimates when required
• Assist with estimates by obtaining all necessary information (i.e., pricing, labor rates, scopes, and client details)
• Communicate with all foremen and project managers on a daily basis; create and distribute schedules
• Assist in checking that plumber tickets match work tickets by checking times/schedules and coordinating with payroll to address any issues; ensure scope of job is correct by consulting with general contractor
• Assist with all payroll hours by contacting field employees on a daily basis (verifying and scheduling)
• Bill and distribute all logged-out job tickets to accounting
• Create safety packets for the plumbers (including Job Hazard Analysis forms and Safety Data Sheets (SDS))
• Occasionally work with the collections team in an effort to collect payment
• Create extra work estimates (EWE) and new estimates when requested by Foremen or Project Managers
• Assist other divisions with day-to-day operations (i.e., labor reports, EWE logs, old job searches etc.)
• Assist with sub-contract work as necessary (dispatching; estimates; customer inquiries; job life cycle)

REQUIREMENTS - PLUMBING SERVICE COORDINATOR

• High School Diploma required
• Minimum three years of construction/mechanical and/or trade industry experience
• Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Great organizational/tracking skills and the ability to accomplish day-to-day tasks with minimal supervision
• Ability to display a high level of diligence, and sense of urgency
• Ability to efficiently prioritize on an hourly, daily, and weekly basis - adjusting to constantly changing schedules
• Must possess effective problem-solving techniques and have the ability to remain calm in stressful situations
• Must be a self-starter, pay attention to detail, and be organized
• Computer Skills:
  • Experience with all Microsoft Office applications
  • Good working understanding of paperless digital filing

SALARY AND BENEFITS - PLUMBING SERVICE COORDINATOR

Salary Range: $45,000-$60,000
