JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The Laboratory of Dr. Thomas Gould within the Department of Biobehavioral Health at Penn State is looking to hire a part-time research assistant. Responsibilities will include: Data analysis Organization of data files Manuscript preparation Updating standard operating procedures Basic lab maintenance Protocol renewal Cleaning Ordering Waste disposal Preference will be given to candidates with a master’s degree in Biobehavioral Health and experience with the following: Behavioral genetics Working with Diversity Outbred mouse population Working with the Collaborative Cross mouse population Experience in mouse behavioral phenotyping, including: Classical conditioning Elevated plus maze Measure of physiological response Graduate level statistical analysis This position is scheduled to begin in the Fall 2023 semester. This position will be scheduled for no more than 20 hours per week. The position will be maintained based on performance, funding availability, availability of essential tasks and will not outlast the duration of the project. All work is in person.
