JOB DESCRIPTION: Summary/Objective
Produce components by identifying, assembling and packaging parts and subassemblies to produce good quality products that meet the standard requirements provided.
POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, or any hours directed by management.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Correctly identify and perform quality work to parts and components as instructed through training
- Assist Team Lead with inventory, quality control, and Lean manufacturing flow as directed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by complying with established policies and procedures, including utilizing any required Personal Protective Equipment.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Some Manufacturing Experience Preferred
- Experience with small power tools (i.e. cordless drill, cordless impact, shop saw)
- Ability to Use own Judgement in determining quality of product
- Ability to make sound decision making in meeting standard requirements
- Ability to learn Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- LEAN Manufacturing Training HS Diploma
- Forklift Certification Assembly Experience
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Non-climate Controlled warehouse, which is not regulated by a heating or cooling system
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:
- Work with their hands, often doing repetitious motions
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Reach within hands and arm’s length with full range of motion
- Ability to work on tasks that require great focus and precisions under widely varying conditions
- Substantial repetitive movement/motion of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers
- May occasionally exert up to 60 pounds of force to lift, carry, pull, push, or otherwise move objects
- Manual dexterity sufficient to reach or handle objects and manipulate them
- Must see clearly with or without vision correction
- Has unimpeded color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors)
OTHER DUTIES
The ability to cross train and flex up and down production line to cover other positions as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
