Responsibilities
- Prepare technical accounting memos for internal files as well as for external audit
- Analyze new material contracts with customers for determination of appropriate application of ASC 606 and company policy;
- Monthly review of revenue and revenue related balance sheet accounts, inventory, and compensation and benefits for compliance with applicable accounting guidance;
- Facilitate monthly reconciliations being completed timely by staff and senior accountants;
- Prepare stock based compensation calculations on a quarterly basis;
- Research new U.S. GAAP and/or IFRS standards and develop and document Company policies and elections;
- Maintain accurate, and complete financial records enterprise-wide;
- Ensure that all accounts, ledgers and reporting systems are in compliance with U.S. GAAP standards and other relevant provisions and regulations;
- Prepare monthly intercompany entries and consolidation reporting, including coordination with various local accounting and finance teams;
- Preparation of timely and accurate consolidated financial reporting;
- Assist local teams in preparation of timely and accurate statutory financial reporting;
- Coordinate audit requests with external auditors; and
- Assist on ad hoc projects as needed as directed.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field;
- CPA preferred;
- Expertise in U.S. GAAP;
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in public accounting, public company and/or multi-national company;
- Advanced understanding of ASC 606 strongly preferred;
- Demonstrated ability to perform technical accounting research, write effective position papers and communicate appropriate accounting treatment
- Deep functional understanding of record to report and financial consolidations processes including intercompany eliminations, currency translation and financial statement reporting
- Thorough knowledge of SEC and Sarbanes-Oxley provisions and regulations;
- In-depth knowledge of, and demonstrated ability to use, ERP systems, with Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience preferred;
- Exceptional verbal and written communications skills;
- Exceptional analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills;
- Strong sense of accountability, at both the personal and team levels; and
- Resilient team player who can juggle multiple priorities and competing deadlines.
