Title: Mail Services Supervisor
Department: Mail & Copy Services
Organizational Relationships: Reports to Director of Mail & Copy Services
Summary: Supervises all mail service activities and manages the MFD copier fleet.
Work Performed – Essential Duties*
- Supervises all operational phases of mail services
- Hires, trains, and assists in supervising student workers; establishes work schedules, assigns tasks and assists with cross-training to perform both Mail and some Copy tasks
- Oversees and participates in receiving, sorting, and delivering incoming items from all carriers, as well as all inter-office and inter-campus mail; supervises package tracking using the Notifii ‘app’ system
- Processes and oversees all outgoing mail for the college, working with all carriers
- Oversees counter operations of mail service for customers
- Serves as the information resource for the community regarding effective methods and requirements when considering costs, delivery time and other mailing services
- Responsible for stamp purchases and maintaining stamp and supplies inventory, and franking machine balances
- Stays current with industry and USPS standards to maintain operational efficiency
- Ensures accurate forwarding of all mail, for students, faculty, and staff no longer with Principia
- Responsible for all postage accounting records
- Manages the MFD fleet, including all supplies, maintenance issues, and customer liaison issues.
- Assists with individual desktop printer toner supplies and maintenance.
- Assists the Manager in evaluating operational procedures and participates in planning strategies for services and systems improvement

Minimum Qualifications
- Active (or pending) membership in the First Church of Christ, Scientist and/or in a Journal-listed branch church or society of the First Church of Christ, Scientist
- High school Diploma or GED; BA preferred
- Familiar with Microsoft Excel and Word – at least at an intermediate level
- Comfortable with computers and learning new technology
- Has a current valid driver's license, with a minimum of two years of driving experience.
