Compliance Project Manager – Brookfield, WI

The Probst Group has an exciting opportunity in our Permitting & Compliance Team. We are looking for a Compliance Project Manager to help support our customers and organization as it relates to regulatory compliance of industrial wastewater treatment system. This position will work closely with clients, federal and state regulatory agencies, and multiple departments within Probst including Engineering and Wastewater Treatment Plant Operations.

Expectations for the Compliance Project Manager:

• Work as a key contributor in the Permitting & Compliance Team focusing on maintaining regulatory compliance of our clients
• Develop in-depth compliance reports such as alternatives analyses and variance requests
• Work with regulatory agencies to understand future limits and how they impact Probst clients
• Critically review draft permits from regulatory agencies and provide comments in conjunction with and on behalf of assigned clients
• Document plans for sludge management
• Advise Probst Operations and Engineering staff regarding potential permit compliance risks
• Assist with client compliance records, such as discharge monitoring reports
• Assist with applications for new, modified, or reissued wastewater discharge permits
• Manage projects by maintaining project budgets, schedules, and deliverables
• Utilize time management software to track and forecast budgets and complete invoicing
• Partner with Sales & Marketing to present at trade shows, seminars, and upon request to customers or stakeholders

Requirements for the Compliance Project Manager:

• Willing to work out of the Brookfield, WI office
• Completed a Bachelor’s degree or higher in related field
• Display strong, concise written communication, primarily for reports, directions, and emails
• Strong organization, planning, & prioritization skills to manage several projects simultaneously

Preferred experiences for the Compliance Project Manager:

• Able to analyze datasets using basic statistical analysis and graphs in Excel
• Able to read and understand relevant state and federal statutes, codes, and guidance documents as well as summarize them to a layperson
• Basic understanding of Wastewater Treatment Plant unit processes
• Ability to read engineering drawings
• 2 years in wastewater permitting
