DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Grinds meat for production orders and stock.
- Creates patty stock.
- Ensures all product coming in and going out are properly rotated by demonstrating first in first out
METHOD:
- Runs fat analysis for each blend used in ground beef production.
- Slacks out frozen product for future day’s production.
- Fills out grinding logs and stock inventory sheets.
- Breaks down and cleans out all equipment; including but not limited to grinders, patty presses, ground beef stuffer and patty presses. Removes all ground beef scraps that are left on all the equipment, bags up
reusable meat, disposes any unusable meat in an inedible barrel.
- Takes out trash in ground beef production area.
- Ensures all patty parts are cleaned and removed from the production room.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS:

While performing the duties of this job, the individual needs to constantly move about inside the plant using scales for weighing product, as well as using knives, meat hooks, vacuum sealers, water hoses, and tape guns to prepare and package product. The employee will occasionally be required to remain in a stationary position while
processing orders. The individual frequently positions self to move boxes and product that are positioned near ground level. They occasionally operate a computer and printer for labeling. They must be able to exchange accurate information with customers and employees while interacting. The individual must regularly and
frequently push, pull and/or move up to 100 pounds. The individual frequently operates an electric pallet jack. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and
depth perception.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the individual is frequently exposed to cold environments in coolers and freezers. They are occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Due to exposure of food, employees are required to wear personal protective equipment. The employee will be required to wear slip resistant shoes, hair nets, and beard covers while anywhere in the plant.
