Position Summary:
The primary functions of a Data Analyst are to collect, analyze, and store and interpret data and turn it into information which can offer ways to improve the business, thus affecting business decisions. The Data Analyst will gather information from various sources and interpret patterns and trends.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsible for the analysis of data sets in order to standardize processes.
Analysis of data and attributes in order to ensure compliance with GMS standards and ensure that these standards are maintained within the GMS ERP system or other pertinent databases.
Might need to work with both third parties and subsidiary contacts.
Ad hoc and custom reporting using MS SQL Server and/or MS Excel (VBA) and other reporting tools and applications to provide internal teams and subsidiary companies with information as needed.
Ability to self-manage, show initiative and solve problems.
Communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing to coworkers and customers.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors or Associates Degree preferred in finance, economics, business or related field
Minimum of 3 years of related work experience
Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite
Comfortable meeting with vendors and customers

Must be able to remain in stationary position in an office environment: 80%
Will frequently move about inside the office to access files, office machinery, etc.

Must be able to problem solve and prioritize tasks.
Must be able to manage stress depending on deadlines and ongoing projects.
