The Department of Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases at the University of Virginia's School of Medicine seeks candidates for a Finance Generalist. Finance Generalists are hybrid positions, responsible for a variety of professional-level work across various financial disciplines. They possess a solid financial background, either gained through work experience or education, which allows them to assume a wide range of duties across multiple areas, including accounting, budget, payroll, financial aid, financial analysis, purchasing, or treasury. Finance Generalists work on behalf of a program, function, or department, independently executing a range of financial responsibilities, based on the organization's needs.
Qualified candidates must have:
Education: Bachelor's degree
Experience: At least two years of experience
Licensure: None
The Finance Generalist will report to the Program Manager. This position is located in Charlottesville, VA.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
The anticipated start date is April 1, 2022. This position will remain open until filled. This position will not sponsor applicants for work visas.
This position is a restricted position and is dependent upon project need, availability of funding and performance. The anticipated hiring range is commensurate with education and experience. This is an exempt-level, benefited position.
