This job is going to be performed at this location: 18 S Water Street Suite 2 Wilmington, NC 28401

Sales :

  • Schedule and Conduct Venue Tours
  • follow up on all Leads and follow up after tours
  • ensure proper marketing materials are in place and ready for tours
  • Understand the Sales Funnel and knowledge of content for each stage
  • Implement new sales strategies and policies to increase bookings for prime booking times of the year
  • Forecast budgets & potentials sales for the following year
  • Track all inquiries, bookings, and sales and compile monthly sales reports on a regular basis
  • Ensure inquiry, tour, booking and Sales goals are achieved quarterly/Monthly
  • Create quotes/invoice and contract for The River Room which is documented in Honey Books
  • Reach yearly Sales Goal of $250,000 in the 2023 year

Social Media & Marketing:

  • Responsible for planning, implementing, managing and monitoring the company's Social Media strategy in order to increase brand awareness, improve Marketing efforts and increase sales.
  • Performing research on current trends and audience preferences
  • Designing and implementing social media strategy to align with business goals
  • Setting specific objectives and reporting on ROI from Paid or marketing Ads
  • Generate, edit, publish and share engaging content daily/weekly (ex: IG stories, FB posts, stories)
  • Communicate with industry professionals and influencers via social media to create a strong network
  • Ensure brand consistency throughout all social media outlets
  • Communicate with followers, engagement, respond to queries in a timely manner and monitor customer reviews
  • Oversee social media accounts’ design & esthetics (ex: Facebook timeline cover, profile pictures, blog layout)
  • Manage and update all social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, Linkedin, wedding wire etc.)
  • Updated Google My Business for The River Room Every 2 weeks - adding photos and responding to reviews
  • Assist with Website design, content creation and upkeep

Bookkeeping:

  • Collect and input deposits/payments from new and existing clients
  • Contact clients and Collect deposits/payments when they are past their due dates Reaching out to clients to collect Final Balance for Bar Payments

Communication:

  • Respond to inquiries through all outlets (email, website, phone, walk-ins, Wedding Wire, etc.) within 24 Hours
  • Serve as the liaison to clients & their planners to collect details such as event timelines, floor layouts, vendors, and rentals
  • Create and maintain the Google spreadsheet shared with George of all clients booked with their contact and event information
  • Independently manage and oversee events as well as assist clients, & direct vendors where they’re needed for set up.
  • Troubleshoot and efficiently solve any problems that may arise during events.
  • Uphold consistent contact with (Owner) on any and all updates pertaining to the venue and business.

Staffing:

  • Create Monthly Scheduling of Assistant Coordinator, Venue Director, cleaners and Bartenders
  • Train and Manage onsite staffing Assistant Coordinator, Venue Director and Bartenders

Additional:

  • Organize, Promote and execute (1-2) open house event/Vendor networking events a year
  • Ensure the venue is stocked and in pristine condition
  • Due to the nature of the events business, hours worked per week will vary
  • Provide friendly and helpful customer service to potential and current clients.
  • Establish and develop business relationships with local and out of town vendors
  • Represent the venue in a professional manner at local networking workshops, special events, bridal mixers, and wedding shows in the Wilmington community.

The River Room is growing! We are looking to expand our team here in Wilmington, NC and currently searching for a Sales manager. This position would be full time and 40-50 hours per week.

The perfect person for this role is someone that has experience working in the wedding and hospitality industry. Someone who’s worked in sales and managed a wedding venue and has a proven sales record. Having a background in hospitality along with sales & marketing experience for the position is a must to be considered for the job.

Managing a wedding venue requires time, experience, personality, and impeccable attention to detail. We need someone who understands and has the knowledge of how and why clients and planners book venues. Someone that understands the importance of vendor relationships and how important they are to a venue’s livelihood.

Sales manager: Full-time Sales and Marketing Position Salary of 38-45k with opportunity for additional bonuses with bookings.

Full focus on sales and marketing strategy Must have past venue/industry sales experience Must be willing to commit 2-3 days a week in person for tours.
