Department Description
The Planning and Construction Office (P and C) provides oversight of the capital budget, coordination of space assignments, long range planning, design and construction of facilities, and procurement of furnishings and equipment.
Detailed Description
Will prepare AutoCAD drawings, update and maintain the space database using eCenterOne software system or other software as selected by P&C. Assist project managers with planning of all aspects of project delivery which includes preparation of construction documentation, and construction administration of small projects including laboratories and offices. Will also prepare plans, studies and report as directed by AVP.Wil coordinate with other University departments as follows: Lab Safety, design criteria and construction site safety. Information Technology, project coordination. Security, site access and project security. Plant Operations and Maintances Shops, small project and repairs. Custodial, moves and deliveries.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree and 1-3 years of experience in an architectural, engineering or construction firm required. Must demonstrate proficiency in AutoCAD and database software programs. Must be articulate, project confidence, and have strong communication skills. Must have the ability to coordinate both short and long-term projects, build strong relationships across teams.
