What are the responsibilities and job description for the Day Camp Teacher - Temporary position at The Salvation Army Golden State Division?
OVERVIEW:
Under the direction of the Corps Officers. This position will oversee all summer related programs and assist in the day to day operations of Day Camp.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for summer school programs & all activities
- Work diligently to foster growth in all areas/programs
- Develop and oversee new programs as the opportunity arises
- Coordinate kid’s worship
- Assist in keeping statistics of programs
- Attend meetings as scheduled; meet regularly with the volunteer ministries team for planning, troubleshooting, etc.
- Develop & lead new programs such as possible kids ministry in the future
- Other related duties as required
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- CA Driver’s License (preferred)
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Great communication skills
- Enthusiasm for the youth
- Ability to lead group activities and events
EQUIPMENT USED:
- Modern Office Equipment and Relevant Software
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. (Usually file boxes)
