Overview
Position:Driver Department/Location:Chester, PA Corps; 151 W 15th Street Availability of Position:Immediate Schedule: Part-Time; 20 hours per week Reporting Relationship:Corps Officers
Salary and Grade:$12.25-per hour; 72 Non-Exempt
Position Overview: The Driver will be responsible for picking up daily donations and dropping off/picking up Christmas workers, and assisting the Officer with the transportation of children during program hours and summer camps.

Responsibilities
Description of Position:
- Responsible for picking up daily food donations and supplies as needed.
- Coordinating additional call-in donations with Corps Officers and Front Office.
- Coordinating with donors & front office regarding office closures (due to weather, federal holidays, etc.)
- Picking-up and dropping of youth for Corps programs.
- Transporting kids to and from Camp Ladore for Corps Summer Camp.
- Ensuring Corps van is fully fueled and cleaned for use on weekends.
- Schedule maintenance checkups on all vehicles in a timely manner.
- Inform the Corps Officer of any issues with vehicles in a timely manner.
- Helping with the drop-off and pick-up of kettle workers during the Christmas Season.
- Helping with the picking-up of toys and food during the Christmas Season.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- High School Diploma, or equivalent.
- Valid PA Driver's License with good driving record.
- At least 21 years of age with at least 2 years of driving experience of large vans.
- As a Mandated Reporter, must provide proof of having completed training on recognizing and reporting child abuse meeting the training standards of PA Act 153 of 2014 within 30 days of employment with recurrent training required every five years thereafter. Must meet and provide proof of the Child Protection Clearances required by PA Act 153 to include PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record Check.
- Must have an understanding of and appreciation for the Mission of The Salvation Army.
