Position Summary
Essential Functions (approximate time spent)
- Oversee, develop, update, and evaluate all social services programs, goals, and objectives (40%).
- Seek, manage, and monitor all grants and contracts (20%).
- Ensure compliance with grants, contracts, licensing, regulations, and internal reporting (20%).
- Monitor fiscal responsibility and assist with annual budget development (10%).
- Represent The Salvation Army throughout the community and be accountable to community stakeholders (10%).
Education and Experience
- Master’s degree in Social Work preferred. Relevant bachelor’s degree will be considered.
- Must be licensed by the MN Board of Social Work, if applicable.
- Three years of relevant experience with increasing responsibility; including staff and program supervision.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license, pass background checks, and meet MVR requirements.

- Proficient with PC, Microsoft Office, and databases.
Working Conditions
- Mostly sedentary work, sitting for long periods of time and working on a computer.

- Must be able to occasionally lift 30 pounds.
- Must be able to communicate clearly in English, and work in person or on the phone.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Provide direction, oversight, training, and supervision to social services and facilities personnel, interns, and volunteers.
Travel Requirements
Regular local travel by agency or personal vehicle. Rare out-of-area travel.
