Benefits : Standard; Part-Time, Non-Exempt employees are eligible for but not limited to the following :
- Sick leave benefit 1 day per month, 12 sick days per year (accrual and availability begins at hire; sick time accrual is pro-rated for part-time hours.)
- Vacation benefit 10 vacation days per year, accrued at the rate of .0385 hours for each hour worked, excluding overtime (accrual begins at hire but may not be used until the completion of six months of employment;
vacation accrual is pro-rated for part time hours.)
- Pension Plan (after one year of continuous service)
maintaining a clean and organized workplace; and operating the cash register.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Will assist in creating a pleasant and hospitable work environment and maintaining good relationships with customers and fellow employees.
- Will assist with all store operations, to include operating the cash register / POS system.
- Will sort donations efficiently and properly per SA standards.
- Will serve all customers / donors in a courteous, respectful and efficient manner.
- Will handle / stock merchandise as directed, always maintaining proper categories and colorization.
- Will ensure that the store is sufficiently stocked in accordance with guidelines.

Qualifications : Education / Work Experience : Education and / or work experience commensurate with the duties and responsibilities required.
Must be committed to the goals and objectives of The Salvation Army. Must be 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required : Fluent in the English language, written and Bilingual in Spanish, helpful.
- Possess good customer service skills.
- Able to comprehend and follow directions.
- Physically able to stand on feet for long periods.
- Able to lift 25 pounds frequently, 50 pounds occasionally.
