Position Summary
The Warehouse Coordinator / Driver is responsible for managing The Salvation Army Northern Division Headquarters (DHQ) warehouse.
The Warehouse Coordinator / Driver is also responsible for assisting with transporting supplies, after-hours emergency calls, winter grounds upkeep.

Essential Functions (approximate time spent)
All work performed within scope of training and regulations.
- Oversee warehouse operations including storage, inventory records, distribution of materials, equipment, safety, and cleanliness. (50%)
- Manage forklift and pallet jack (manual and electric) maintenance, operation, and training. (10%)
- Ensure safe and optimal working condition of fleet vehicles (, winter upkeep, transporting vehicles for routine maintenance and repairs). (5%)
- Assist with special events and projects (, setup, equipment transportation, teardown). (5%)
- Respond to after-hours emergency building calls from the monitoring company as needed. (5%).
- Assist with winter grounds upkeep. (5%)
- Maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and other required logs. (5%)
- Transport supplies and assist with assigned errands. (5%)
Education and Experience
- High school diploma / GED.
- Proven experience in warehouse operations with increasing responsibilities.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a forklift certification within 90 days of hire. DHQ will provide certification as needed.
- Pass background checks.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license, possess or be able to obtain within 90 days a DOT Medical Examiners Certificate, and meet MVR requirements.
Competences
- Working knowledge and safe handling of equipment, chemicals, and materials regularly used in warehouse operations.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to use PC and standard office equipment.
Working Conditions
- Perform all physical aspects of the position, including being mobile, bending, reaching, and climbing.
- Regularly lift 40 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 100 lbs.
- Professional environment; not eligible for a remote-friendly work environment.
- Must be able to sit and stand for reasonable periods of time.
- Must be able to communicate clearly in English and work in person or on the phone.

Travel Requirements
Regular driving in the metro using agency vehicle for supplies, mail, etc.
