Job Posting for Weekend FSQ Technician at The Scoular Company
Petsource by Scoular is currently recruiting individuals with a strong work ethic and who want to work with passionate team members in food manufacturing, at a new, state-of-the-art, 105,000 square foot freeze-dried pet food ingredients facility located in Seward, NE.
The Production Operator will perform a variety of tasks involved in the manufacturing and packaging of freeze-drying protein ingredients for the pet food industry. Responsibilities include the safe and sanitary operation of manufacturing process equipment, food safety and quality inspection, and other tasks as needed while ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety policies.
The Food Safety & Quality (FSQ) Technician works in coordination with the rest of the FSQ team to ensure safe and high-quality food is produced in the manufacturing facility. This individual will have a direct impact on building and maintaining a positive food safety and quality culture throughout the company. This is a fairly broad position that includes various levels of product/environmental testing, employee and facility auditing, document verification, and continuous improvement initiatives. This position primarily works on the production floor and directly supports production. This person should have a high attention to detail, be an effective communicator, and be a team player.
Starting rate is $19 per hour.

Requirements
HS diploma or GED required; college degree in a related field is preferred.
Minimum of 6 months in a related position required, preferably in the food industry. Experience may be substituted with relevant education.
Experience working with HACCP, SQF, or FSMA is preferred.
Proficient in using computers and Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Must be organized and have effective communication skills (written and verbal).
Ability to work well both individually and within a group.
