Job Description:
Times-Shamrock Communications is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Level 2 IT Helpdesk Technician to join our team. This position will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, and software to our internal and external customers. The ideal candidate must possess excellent communication skills, a strong technical background, and a passion for problem-solving. This position requires on-call once every 5 weeks.
This position can be located at either our Scranton or Wilkes-Barre PA facilities, depending on the applicants location.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide technical assistance and support to employees for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding procedures, including setting up new user accounts and removing access for terminated employees.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity in a professional, courteous, and timely manner.
- Document, track and monitor technical problems to ensure timely resolution.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer software, hardware, and printing/scanning devices.
- Train users on how to properly use software applications, equipment, and peripheral devices.
- Work with the IT team to ensure all systems are running at peak performance and identify potential issues to avoid downtime.
- Escalate issues to Level 3 support or other IT teams as needed.
- Other duties as assigned
Salary : $40,200 - $50,900
