What are the responsibilities and job description for the Barista (PT) position at The Seagate?
The Seagate is hiring Baristas to work at our Etc. Café!
The ideal candidate will be an experienced and knowledgeable applicant with strong food & beverage service backgrounds. As The Etc. Café barista, you will skillfully craft the perfect beverage with consistency with a wide range of beverage offerings, attention to detail and working quickly & accurately.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve hot/cold beverages
- Greet customers
- Share knowledge and suggest menu items to customers
- Be totally familiar with hotel operations/locations and be able to direct guest and answer guest questions of general facility
- Clean or sanitize work areas, utensils, or equipment
- Check temperatures of freezers, refrigerators, or heating equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Receive and process payments
- Prepare foods such as muffins, pastries, bagels, sandwiches, etc.
Working Conditions
- Minimum of two years continued customer service experience (preferably geared towards food and beverage)
- Previous Café Barista experience a Plus
- Works well under pressure
- Communicate in a clear, concise pleasant and sincere manner
- Must have a passion for service and the ability to think ahead of guests needs
- Work long hours when necessary and flexible with schedule
- Be able to work weekends, nights, holidays, as necessary
