What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeper position at The Source?
The Source is a Joint Commission accredited addiction treatment facility that offers multiple levels of care to help men and women overcome alcohol and drug addiction. Our mission is to provide a family environment where clients get connected to their mind body and spirit, support groups, 12-step programs, and society.
RESONSIBLITIES:
- Ensure that floors, furniture, office equipment and windows are thoroughly cleaned and presentable to visitors, employees, and residents.
- Apply appropriate cleansers and disinfectants to furniture, floors, sinks and windows.
- Keep an inventory of cleaning supplies, such as detergents, floor wax and furniture polish, and ensure that these supplies are well stocked.
- Adjust furniture, desk items, and appliances when necessary.
- Responsible for vacuuming, dusting, and polishing.
- Responsible for replenishing supplies such as soap, toilet paper and paper towels in restrooms and, if applicable, offices.
- Operate cleaning equipment, such as vacuum cleaners and carpet cleaners.
- Provide immediate report of any safety hazards, injuries, maintenance problem, or accidents to the supervisor.
- Ensure flammable materials are properly stored.
- Works in a safety-conscious manner which ensure the safe work practices are used in order not to pose a risk to self or in the workplace.
- Knowledge of addiction and mental health.
- Effective time management.
- Ability to perform pushing, lifting and carrying activities.
- Respond positively to changing situations in the work setting.
- Perform other capacities as needed.

EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of one years’ experience in housekeeping, preferably hotel/motel.
EDUCATION:
- High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited organization.
Salary : $17 - $18
