Our growing company is in need of an experienced and ambitious Social Media and Content Manager to oversee development, execution and growth of social engagement and content across all our channels. You will play a key role in the success of our prospecting and retention marketing campaigns. The ideal candidate should know how plan and execute day-to-day social marketing campaigns and how to apply data analytics to personalize and optimize content. The Social Media Manager will manage an external agency, interact with C-level team members and build new opportunities across our sports and lifestyle brands. The Social Media Manager will be a solid leader, clear communicator and possess great analytical skills.
Plan and execute a robust content strategy that drives high engagement among key audiences. Manage the distribution of content across all channels.
Own editorial calendar intake process and work with key business units on timing and messaging that fits within established narrative and channel guardrails
Manage accounts and create content on various social media platforms, including, but not limited to, YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook with excellent judgement, instincts and a sharp feel for the social media landscape.
Source, create, and publish timely social media content to drive visibility among various audiences about key activities at The St. James.
Find opportunities to proactively engage with our social community and build relationships
Become the resident expert of our social toolset, using it to do everything from staging and publishing content to listening and pulling metrics
Collect, monitor and analyze social and website metrics, and make improvements accordingly
Collaborate with brand, sports and lifestyle Directors to create promotional content
Use social media to drive awareness of and traffic to sports, health club and lifestyle initiatives.
Report on activities, including insights which help shape and drive content moving forward.
Collaborate on strategy for paid social campaigns and work with third party agency to implement
Be creative and develop engaging social media content that's aligned with The St. James brand. Think and communicate clearly, create a concise and well-written narrative to express it. Constantly innovate, initiate and create new content and social opportunities to drive engagement. Manage very well with ambiguity – have a bias for action, but an ability to work cohesively with other stakeholders.
Strong understanding of social media channels, content development, and social analysis
Understanding of content marketing tactics, such as SEO, digital advertising and social media marketing
Demonstrated ability to lead social media marketing campaigns
Strong Google Analytics and Adobe Acrobat/Illustrator skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
4 years of experience in Social Media and Content Marketing
Preferred: Knowledge of videography and editing best practices
