The Staff Pad is seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Laboratory technician to support our client's laboratory testing efforts in the field of geotechnical engineering and QA/QC construction. This position is located in Reno, Nevada. As a Lead Laboratory Technician, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and compliance within all our client's project scopes through rigorous testing, research, and innovation.
-Stay updated with all applicable testing certifications, best practices, and emerging technologies in construction materials testing.

-Laboratory testing: Be efficient and reliable in an effort to meet all testing deadlines.
-Quality Control: Maintain strict quality control measures to ensure that all construction materials testing and components meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
-Research and Innovation: Foster a culture of innovation by staying up to date with emerging technologies and best practices in materials testing and applying this knowledge to improve testing procedures and methodologies.
-Collaboration: Work closely with other lab technicians, providing guidance on testing requirements and results interpretation. Collaborate with lab manager, director of CMT services and other technicians to resolve quality-related issues.
-Mentorship: Train and mentor less qualified laboratory staff, sharing your expertise and promoting a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
-Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records of test results through Spectra QEST software and internal worksheets. Prepare legible test data for the lab manager and other lab technicians.
