Senior Internal Recruiter
The Adam Corporation Group in College Station, TX has an immediate need for a Senior Internal Recruiter for this newly created position due to our continued growth and expansion.
Job Summary:
The Senior Internal Recruiter will identify, recruit, and screen potential employees for specific positions within the organization. Works closely with the hiring managers to recruit potential candidates for immediate and anticipated hiring needs. Position reports to the Director of Human Resources (HR) and will assist with enhancing recruitment strategy.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Meeting with senior management to understand the job requirements, duties, and qualifications desired for the specified vacant position(s).
- Source, recruit, interview, recommend qualified candidates to the hiring managers, and schedule interviews with selected candidates.
- Ability to negotiate with candidates, hiring managers, and placement agencies, while adhering to company guidelines.
- Check candidate’s references and credentials to verify experience and background.
- Determine alternative recruitment strategy for challenging searches, including utilizing external placement agencies.
- Work closely with established placement agencies for approved temporary and direct-hire needs.
- Assist Director of HR to identify additional placement agencies, to assess agency agreements, and to negotiate competitive agreement terms.
- Partner with local universities to enhance student talent pipeline for the company.
- Organize and attend job fairs, campus events, and other networking opportunities.
- Build a database of contacts through social media and other means.
- Develop and maintain relationships with potential candidates for networking and hiring purposes.
- Collect and analyze market data to understand fair and competitive market salaries, candidate availability, and demand for candidates in particular fields.
- Assists HR Department with online applicants when necessary.
- Maintain and ensure compliance with applicable equal employment opportunity (EEO) and related employment laws and regulations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with aptitude in conducting interviews and interaction with senior management and placement agencies.
- Excellent initiative and organizational skills.
- Thorough understanding of EEO, ADA, and other related employment laws and guidelines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field highly preferred.
- At least four years of external recruitment or internal staffing specialist experience or equivalent combination of both experiences required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
