What are the responsibilities and job description for the Aqua Yoga/Fitness Instructor position at The Swimming Swan, LLC?
We are looking for experienced Aqua Yoga/Fitness Instructors to conduct classes for the Moreno Valley Ranch Community Association. This is a seasonal position from roughly Memorial Day to Labor Day 2023.
Aqua Instructor responsibilities include: overseeing, directing, and guiding individual or group participants to achieve personal and/or group goals. Developing and executing all workouts and program design. Planning a progression and modifying all instructions based on the clientele. We are particularly interested in establishing an Aqua Yoga program - applicants with a strong yoga background are encouraged to apply.
We are an E-Verify participating employer. Upon hire, applicants may be subject to a background check and/or drug test per facility requirements.
PAY: $25 per hour plus 10% lesson revenue at the end of the summer season.
HOURS:
- Tuesday & Thursday, 5:30 - 6:30 PM
- Wednesday & Friday, 10:00 - 11:00 AM
- Saturday, 10:00 - 11:00 AM
- Tuesday & Thursday, 10:00 - 11:00 AM (Aqua Yoga only)
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Candidates must be 18 years of age with a HS Diploma or equivalent.
- Current and valid ARC or equivalent certification including but not limited to CPR, First Aid, AED*
- Current Aquatic Fitness or Water Aerobics Certification through the following recognized organizations: ASFA, AEA, AFPA, or equivalent certification pending approval from management.
- Ability to pass pre-employment verbal skills and program design tests.
- 1 year(s) of aqua aerobics or 2 years of group fitness/personal training experience, in a leadership role preferred.
- Strong customer service background preferred.
*Need certifications? We offer 50% reimbursement on all certification courses after 45 days or 1 season of employment (minimum 1 shift weekly).
