What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bar Support position at The Tap?
We are looking for a guest experience-focused barback & drink expo to join our team! You will be maintaining a clean bar and dining room, pouring drinks, and helping ensure that guest enjoy an exceptional dining experience.
You are a natural people person who can quickly build rapport with guests in recommending drinks and create a welcoming atmosphere. Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities, you rely on your excellent organization and team building to bring your best each day for yourself, the restaurant staff, and your guests.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting your bartender by making drink tickets and restocking.
- Supporting servers by helping maintain a clean dining room for guests.
- Guide patrons to tables suitable for their needs and according to availability of open seating so that servers can readily greet them.
- Greeting guests with menus or water and noting a server will be with them to ensure a smooth handoff to the service staff
- Manage the flow of guests into the dining and bar areas, and provide accurate wait times to incoming guests if appropriate
- Take to-go orders when necessary.
- Keep the bar top neat, tidy, and presentable for guests.
Qualifications:
- Previous restaurant experience preferred
- Friendly and customer-focused personality
- Ability to maintain knowledge of rotating drink menu.
- Ability to articulate clear greetings and farewells to guests, as well as being able to understand requests for assistance
- Ability to clearly communicate guests’ needs to co-workers.
- Ability to work in a fast pace environment.
- Must be able to carry trays or supplies (10-30 lbs.)
Salary : $25,100 - $31,800
