What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Cabin Counselor - Male position at The Tile Shop?
Essential Responsibilities:
- Assist the Program Director in the preparation of each camp
- Supervise counselors in all areas of camp programs.
- Serve as a trainer and supervisor to counselors and other staff through discipleship ministry and instruction.
- Assist with mealtime activities such as singing, birthday recognition, distribution of camper mail, etc.
- Be prepared to inspect cabins for cleanliness daily.
- Assist the counselors as needed.
- Help maintain discipline with campers and counselors.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Desire and ability to work with children and adults outdoors
- Ability and experience in supervising staff and campers
- Ability to relate to one’s peer group
- Ability to accept guidance and supervision
- Ability to work with others
- Ability to assist in teaching an activity
- Ideally 20 years of age or older, with a minimum of 2 years of summer camp counselor experience
- Christian exhibiting the principles of Christian living
