SUMMARY
The PC Build Technician role is responsible for staging, configuration, and ongoing management of Client laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and related peripheral devices. This includes all stages of device support from preparation of hardware and software to troubleshooting and regular maintenance of equipment and applications.
As a PC Build Technician, you should be customer service oriented, with demonstrated experience anticipating and resolving problems, while proactively helping to maximize effective and efficient use of PC, Mac, and iOS computing devices in a corporate environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will:
- Build, test, and deploy software packages and updates
- Staging both Windows and Mac computers for clients
- Co-ordinate shipping Desktops, Laptops and Peripherals to meet client expectations
- Manage software security updates for Windows, Mac, and iOS devices
- Build and test configurations to ensure device compliance with defined standards
- Utilize Smart Deploy Imaging software for Operating System configuration and deployment
- Leverage MDT (Microsoft Deployment Toolkit) and WDS (Windows Deployment Services) for management for Windows images
- iOS patch and update management through RMM Tools
- Troubleshoot and resolve Operating System issues for Mac, Windows, and iOS devices
- Troubleshoot and resolve Desktop/Mobile software issues
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues for computers and related peripheral devices
- Manage service desk tickets and queues for all Desktop related deployments
- Assist internal and external customers remotely over the phone, through email, and other communications media
QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 to 3 years of PC, Mac, and iOS configuration experience with a proven track record of working with physical and virtual, multi-site teams in multiple business domains. The candidate should also have 2 to 3 years of experience utilizing Office 365 Pro Plus and Adobe CC and 1 to 2 years of experience managing devices with Air watch. Prior Smart Deploy experience is a plus, and other imaging software experience will be taken into consideration.
This position will also require someone who has a thorough understanding of current versions of Windows and mac OS, in-depth knowledge of business applications, including a range of Microsoft Office products, Adobe CC suite. The candidate should express exceptional analytical ability and logical problem resolution skills.
Must have excellent technical troubleshooting skills, communication & customer service skills and technical documentation skills. Able to work independently as well as be a team player and take ownership of new initiatives as they arise.

Pay: $42,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
