This safety sensitive position performs specialized technical inspection of construction projects, and installations in new, existing and remodeled structures in the following areas of trade certification: plumbing, mechanical, electrical, structural, fire/life safety, and plans examination to determine compliance with the building codes and procedures adopted by the Town of Parker. This is done by using a proactive approach to assist the development community, citizen groups, local businesses and other Town of Parker and governmental staff in understanding and complying with building codes and regulations
Building Inspector 1
Hiring range: $24.31/hr. - $29.76/hr.
Full salary range: $24.31/hr. - $35.21/hr.
Building Inspector 2
Hiring range: $28.18/hr. - $34.54/hr.
Full salary range: $28.18/hr. - $40.90/hr. Building Inspector 1:
Minimum of two (2) years of construction experience.
ICC (International Code Council) Certification in one (1) of the areas of certification: building, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, structural, plans examination or the ability to obtain as specified during the hiring terms.
An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered. A Colorado licensed Journeyman or Master Plumber may also be considered equivalent.
Building Inspector 2:
Minimum of one (1) year building inspection experience.
Minimum of two (2) years of construction experience.
Current ICC (International Code Council) Certification in two (2) of the areas of certification: plumbing, mechanical, electrical, structural, fire/life safety, or plans examination;
An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered. A Colorado licensed Journeyman or Master Plumber may also be considered equivalent.

Building Inspector 1 and 2
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
A current Colorado Driver’s license, or ability to obtain upon hire, and a minimum of two (2) years good driving history.Building Inspector 1:
